His double portrait, “Mo and Kev” is of Christopher’s parents at their home in Warrington. Although appearing to be a moment in the ritual of domestic life, the twelve sittings were carried out separately to produce the joint portrait. The painting deals with what it is like for a couple who have been through so much to grow old together.
